Trust is built through clear information, responsible decisions and a willingness to answer questions. SDC Nepal’s accountability commitments guide how we communicate with donors, communities, partners and public authorities.
Clear purpose
Donation appeals should identify the intended programme or explain when a contribution supports the organisation’s general charitable work. Restricted gifts should be used only for a suitable stated purpose, subject to law and feasibility.
Financial stewardship
Income and expenditure should be recorded, supporting documents retained, and financial information reviewed through the organisation’s governance processes. External audit, reporting or regulatory submissions should be completed when required under applicable Nepalese law and Social Welfare Council procedures.
Safeguarding and dignity
Children and vulnerable adults must be treated with respect. Personal information, photographs and stories should be collected and shared carefully, with appropriate consent and safeguards.
Feedback and complaints
People should be able to ask questions or raise concerns without fear of retaliation. SDC Nepal can be contacted at [email protected] or +977 9807062818. Concerns are reviewed according to their seriousness, confidentiality and safeguarding implications.
Honest communication
We do not promise guaranteed outcomes. Programme scope, timing and location can change because of funding, access, weather, safety or verified community needs. Updates should distinguish confirmed results from plans and illustrative material.
